One of the things that many of us take for granted is driving. We drive to work. We drive to buy food. We sometimes drive when going on vacations. As with many things we do on a regular basis, driving might tend to be taken for granted. However, this should not be the case. The statistics on accidents tell us so.

At our maxTrax Auto Body Shop Blog, you can be reminded of how you act as a person behind the wheel. Read about safe driving tips, defensive driving, driving in the dark, and so on. You may drive everyday, but it never hurts to be reminded of how to stay safe on the road.

Follow these 10 important safety signs!

CollisionMax and Road Traffic Signs want you to stay safe this holiday season. With Christmas fast approaching, traffic at the malls is at an all time high. Auto body shops in NJ and PA can't keep up with the influx of wrecked vehicles. Take a look at this helpful graphic provided by www.roadtrafficsigns.com:

Be Safe This Holiday Season - The Safe Road to Santa's Workshop

Cheer is in the air as the holiday season approaches. Just don't overlook increased risks of being out on the road! As you head to Aunt Judy's Christmas dinner or Bob's Ugly Sweater Party, it is increasingly important to drive safely.

This time around, take a safe trip with Santa's elves as they follow the cement road to his workshop. You'll learn how (and why!) to stay away from dangerous driving practices, and hopefully keep these facts and more in mind while you're behind the wheel this holiday season. Here are just a few statistics from the infographic:

• 17,000 people die per year in the U.S. in motor vehicle accidents because they weren't wearing a seat belt.

• In December 2009 alone there were 2,387 fatal crashes.

• Pedestrian deaths account for 12 percent of all traffic fatalities.

Sure, these facts are serious, but don't think of us as the Christmas Grinch. Turn to these signs as a support system to help you drive safe this holiday season.

A big thanks to RoadTrafficSigns.com for this helpful holiday safety message!

The winter season can be a real challenge when it comes to driving. A little caution, some better focus, and remembering that its better to get their late than not at all will go a long way to make sure we are all safe.
